One of Sweden's Oldest Companies

Alstermo Bruk is located in South East Småland, one of the most beautiful parts of Sweden. We are one of the country’s oldest companies with roots in the first industrial revolution.

The mill was founded as early as in 1804 and was to begin with a hand paper mill. 1895 the company started to manufacture Amo-fiber®. Soon we became on of the world’s leading manufacturers with customers all over the world. Simultaenously also a large production grew with focus on travel cases. At the turn of the previous century Alstermo Bruk was very successful in the USA. At this point of time large numbers of Swedes emigrated to west and many of them travelled with an Alstermo case as their companion into adventure.

It was also at this time that Alstermo Bruk was part of the forming of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in New York.

The production today comprises collections for storing, packaging and office, travel cases and a large manufacturing of specially made products for public relations and sales promotion.

Alstermo Bruk has during the years had the honour to design different case collections for the Swedish participants in the Olympic Games.

Alstermo Bruk is a company with a long tradition. Professional skill and knowledge have through the years gone hand in hand with new technologies and creative thinking, all this with the aim to adapt the products to the customers requirements. We will bring the best of this 200 year old tradition into the future.
